Floridians and others that may be subject to natural disaster
Good record keeping (IE: photos at a minimum) is a must for you to get reimbursement from your insurance. In my opinion insurance companies are not necessarily there to help the clients but there for profit as are most companies. Some are better than others of course.

Bottom
line, it would be unfair for you to request reimbursement for 4 flat
screen TV’s if you do not have a photo and even better a copy of a
receipt to go with the photo.
You
can keep these at relatives' homes, or special document saving companies online, maybe even a safe deposit box in a bank. It's all up to you but
our advice, once a year do an inventory of what you own, make copies of
receipts on new purchase and make sure you have a photo of the product
so it all goes well if that sad day is needed.
